Really good food. Clean, friendly place.
This place was absolutely phenomenal!! The food drinks and service was wonderful. The waitress put up with alot from us as I have a shellfish allergy. Saketinis are sooo good!
Surprisingly great food and prices. Really good menu. Definitely will go back.
Food was delicious and the service was excellent
Great sushi! Come between 4-6pm for happy hour. They're dining room is open now!
Too heavy on the sauce on the rolls, overpowered everything
The lunch special is a good deal. The raw sushi is awesome!
Wonderful service. Amazing food. Everything one needs for sushi.
Great Food and Friendly Staff.
Happy Hour is a decent way to experience this spot for the first time. I am not a huge sushi fan but my wife is, thus I find myself here now and then. Other meal options are available. Food is good and moderately priced. Service is attentive. My mates who are sushi experts say that this spot is pretty good and the only show in town. They say to get better sushi, one has to go to Portland. I'll pass and eat my crunchy roll right here. Popular spot.
The food was good. The short man who served me really needs to smile more but he was nice and attentive and the second day u went back because I was so pleased w dinner I wanted to try the soup it was yummy the first is it I had the special tuna sashimi and a seaweed salad and a fried tempura banana with green tea ice cream it was pretty good. The sake was good but the mule was better :) bummer the sushi bar can’t be open but it’s an odd time in the world so it’s ok. Turn the music up :)
Really friendly waitress was very helpful. Great food.
A regular stop for lunch when we are at the coast. Their saketinis are great.
In the seaside location I have had the worst service. I have been there several times and have had the same terrible service. The food is great so I have just started ordering it to go. Great food, awful service.
Great sushi here! Fun colorful atmosphere. Lots of seating, even for larger groups. Everything you could want from a sushi and bento spot.
Great sushi. The staff was very friendly.
Great Sushi, very fresh tasting and the rolls are done right, they don't fall apart as you pick them up.
Excellent sushi! We went for happy hour and all the food was delicious! Although if you don't like gas station slushies, don't order the Kathy's Sake Martini. Also, our server seemed very stressed out and messed up both our order and the table next to us. Maybe they were understaffed, but the poor guy was not keeping up. Food was definitely worth it though.
great salads (the green salad is the cheapest and best), great selection and quality of rolls!
Amazing food! Great ambience and great deal during Happy hour! Not your cheap self service Japanese which is why I loved it soo much!
Very friendly and yummy. Very open space and caution on social distance. Recommend the combination platers.
Food is great. Service makes no sense. No organization plenty of staff but all over the place. Inexcusable wait times to order and have the food brought to table
Very delicious sushi place! Highly recommend pink lady roll and the crunchy roll for those who don't like raw sushi. Very Japanese like atmosphere inside. 5 star.
I'd call this a good place to have sushi if it was in the city. However to have sushi this good in Seaside is amazing.
Amazing prices. Drinks are great. Clean and friendly staff. Loved the tree table. Got our friend to try sushi for first time. He loved it. I had the joey roll and they had the lion king and... lol don't remember. Prices are so fair and we had a great time.
Don't know where to start! Warm sushi, yuck! Cold soup, cold chicken teriyaki! Bad and indifferent service. Flies, chipped dishes. Bad, just bad!
Super yummy, i loved everything i tried! Staff was awesome. Good location.
Great Happy hour! Great selection of rolls, all of which are super fresh. There are so many great flavor combos. The service is also excellent.
We have a vegetarian in the family so we are always looking for something that works for her. Vegetable roll and avacado roll were really good. Fresh and good!
Great sushi! Happy hour is where it's at.
Food was good. Great service.
So we came in as a family of six (two were babies). They ignored us for about 30 minutes & didn’t take our order. Our food came back lukewarm. My beef came back red & I sent it back. The people who came In after us had their order taken before us. Definitely wasn’t worth the money. Don’t know how they have a 4.4 rating. Not coming back.
Such good sushi! And at an incredibly reasonable price! I'd come here again!
A little overpriced but the portions were big and the service was fast and friendly. Small towns always have limited selection of sushi joints, but I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor profiles the food here offered. I don't know if I would come back, but if I did, it would definitely be for the service.
Great food, the staff were very friendly but the service was a bit slow, it could have been a busy day. We would go back again.
We've eaten here for several years now, and the food and service have always been great!
Excellent food great service
This was a very pleasant surprise. A large Japanese restaurant right on the corner of Broadway so right on the strip so-to-speak.The sushi rolls were excellent -- we had the Tiger roll and Fire-Fire roll. The fish was fresh. The Fire-fire roll was actually quite spicy-hot. The seaweed salad was a perfect and flavorful cool-down dish afterward. But the tempura shrimp were quite possibly the best we've ever tasted. Perfectly cooked.A full bar and large Sake list round out a menu with specials for seniors snd vegetarians, with combination dinners and sushi combinations, and a happy hour specials menu. The staff was very pleasant and effocient.Highly recommended. Give this place a try.
Very friendly !! strong alcohol drinks very good fresh sushi. My kind of place.
Great service and great prices!
Dependable great food! Many fantastic options. Beer & wine, very Family friendly
This was my second time visiting Tora Sushi. Absolutely amazing. Fresh. Goto for sushi in the PNW. If you’re visiting Seaside, and looking for something to eat. This is the place.
Service seems to be inconsistent. Either your server is attentive and friendly, or they are absent until they are delivering food. This was the only thing preventing me from rating 5 stars. Everything else is wonderful. The sushi rice has a nice starchy texture, the unagi has a nice teriyaki sauce, the smelt eggs are oceanic, NOT fishy, and the portion sizes are appropriate for the price. I will be back time and time again, maybe with a lesser expectation of the service.
Its a little overpriced, but the food never disappoints and the staff is always wonderful and friendly. They have normal sized portions, a wonderful atmosphere, and a nice location thats only a little far away from the heart of seaside. They have a nice variety of tasty foods, and I think they are one of the best restaurants in seaside.
Being “landlocked” from Colorado, I was looking forward to trying some fresh sushi being this close to the coast! Tora Sushi did not disappoint! They had fresh takes on some of the classic rolls that I am familiar with, and the rolls were honestly huge for the price. Everything tasted amazingly fresh, and it’s honestly been one of the better sushi experiences that I’ve had in a long time. The sushi chef at the sushi bar was attentive and courteous, and provided great service. I would definitely come back. Only suggestion would be more craft beer selections, even though that might not be the traditional Japanese selection. Cheers!
We were a party of 10 and got seated right away. We of course all ordered different type of foods and some wanted to share. We were accommodated. We all enjoyed it. We went to this restaurant 2 years ago.
Service was..... Marginal. The strawberry margherita was... Salty? Like... Overly salty. We were seated quickly but then it took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come back around to take our order. Took about 20 minutes(not too bad) to get our food from there. The food itself was good. If the restaurant were busy, I could understand... But almost all of the middle tables were empty, the bar was only about half filled, and the raised seating area near the big windows had 3 empty tables there. I couldn't see into either of the covered seating spots. Overall not the worst restaurant experience I've ever had... But definitely not the best. Hire better servers.
This is a nice little restaurant with good service, however, this is not an authentic sushi restaurant. Maybe I'm biased & spoiled, coming from Vancouver, BC where we have some of the best sushi on the west coast, but the sushi was sloppy & not well made. While the flavours were passable, the price they charge does not match the quality of sushi you will receive. Unfortunately, this restaurant falls into the tourist trap that is Seaside, Oregon.
We were on the hunt for some Japanese food and found this little gem. We enjoyed the Happy Hour menu a couple times now (makes it more affordable), and both times everything was delicious. The service was good, the prices ok, and the food slightly different adding a unique twist that we liked. We really enjoyed the nice variety from a cucumber salad to fried gyozas and more Atmosphere was nice, with beautiful decor. The covid protocols are in place, but the restaurant cleanliness is unsure when we are the 1st customers in for the 4pm dinner hour and the chair has crumbs on it, the dish area in the back is full of tubs of dirty dishes from lunch, and a busser the second visit wasn't wearing gloves to take away dishes from tables. So you decide. We liked it.
Their sushi melts in your mouth, so very good!
